However, temporary medical insurance has few drawbacks too, due to which it is less popular. If you have a pre-conditioned disease, and you opt for a temporary medical insurance, then you will not get any coverage under it. There are cases, when you may want a long-term coverage, as you are perhaps aware of falling into a condition where you expect a disease to take over. In such cases, temporary insurance may not be the right kind of insurance for you. You must always remember that temporary medical insurance is always for a short period, and any impending illness, which may stay for a long time, does not cover under temporary medical insurance.
Finally, you should also understand the fact that it is not possible to renew a temporary medical insurance, which is again a big disadvantage.
